Key Person

We value and promote the individuality of all children and like to maintain a close relationship with parents and other carers to better know and understand each child. When your child starts at Rising Fives, your family will be assigned a keyperson. This person is a member of staff who will work with you and monitor your child’s learning and development journey. Your keyperson is a special member of staff that builds a close bond and relationship, helping children feel safe and secure here.

You will be able to talk to your keyperson in confidence about your child’s specific needs, including any special needs, medical and dietary requirements.

Each family will have a login for their child's tapestry learning journey in which they will have regular updates of their child's time at Rising Fives. Yearly reports and two year check (in the term that they turn 3) are also prepared on Tapestry by your child's key person. There is an opportunity for a parent consultation with your child's key person once a year but in the meantime if you have any queries or concerns a meeting can be arranged.
